Homemade Applesauce….

Homemade applesauce really is a treat.

6-8 Granny Smith 

Peeled and cored and sliced 

1/2 cup water 

1/4 cup sugar

2 tsp cinnamon 

Place everything in a sauté pan and let it boil away for about 20 minutes over medium heat 

I use the cover and leave it hanging off the edge a bit for steam to express itself so it doesn’t boil over and cause a sticky mess.

Once it’s done I let it cool about 30 minutes on the counter and then I use a hand mixer to create the chunky applesauce.

I place it in Tupperware and it lasts about 5 days in the fridge (I say 5 days because it usually gets eaten by then).

It’s good cold or warmed up, over ice cream or by itself.  So good!!!
